Description
Pachyphytum glutinicaule is so named because if its slightly sticky stems. The plant has thick green/grey long leaves, that form medium heads. The plant will grow upright before it branches to form a small shrub shape. It will grow to 25 cm in 5 years. The plant has beautiful red Echeveria type flowers on 20cm stems.
This plant ships better as a cutting since it is very fragile. Available as a full plant at the RHS shows and from the Nursery.
Your cutting will be freshly taken on the nursery and you will need to dry it out for 10 days before potting into gritty compost and a 9cm pot. Water sparingly until the plant has established some roots. See our video guide on mixing the perfect succulent compost
