Description
The Mammillaria plumosa cactus is native to the rocky, calcareous limestone cliffs and hills in the Huasteca Canyon – Mexico. This cactus forms clumps much like the Mammillaria hahniana but has the common name the feather cactus because of its soft feather like spines all over its body. The flowers are different to most Mammillaria’s because they are cream-white to pale yellow in colour, which differs from the usual pink flower!
No more difficult to grow than other cacti requiring your brightest location for the summer months and nice gritty compost, with attention to watering.
